Pioneer announced the AVIC-S2 GPS navigation device. The on-the-go GPS device sports built-in SiRF Star III GPS module and antenna for accurate positioning, and comes with a 1GB SD card pre-loaded with TeleAtlas maps with 1.7 million POIs;.
The AVIC-s2 features a 3.5-inch LCD touch display to provides color and easy-to-read map. The device has a user-friendly GUI and provides 2D and 3D views. It supports Bluetooth connectivity for pairing Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones for hands-free operation. There is also built-in MP3 player.
It is expected to be available later this month and priced at $399.
