Toshiba adds to its Excite tablet line a new high-end model powered by NVIDIA’s new mobile processor. To make the Android 4.2.1 standout, Toshiba has equipped it with a high resolution 10.1-inch PixelPure touchscreen with a 2560×1600/300ppi and 178-degree wide viewing angle, matching Google/Samsung’s Nexus 10.
The Excite Pro is running on NVIDIA’s new Tegra 4 quad-core processor with GeForce GPU and 2GB of RAM. Its 8 Megapixel camera has LED flash and image stabilization and the 1.2 Megapixel front camera is good for video chat and self-portrait. There are Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band WiFi, GPS connectivity, and Ambient Light Sensor, Gyroscope, 3-axis Accelerometer sensors. Harman Kardon stereo speakers with DTS Premium Voice Pro is there to deliver high quality sound and the built-in micro HDMI output lets you display content from the tablet to an HDTV. 32GB of onboard storage is available and a microSD slot is provided for expansion.
