Vodafone releases in the UK a new entry-level smartphone, the Huawei Ascend G510 that is available for GBP13 monthly and GBP130 on pay as you go. Though positioned as low-end, the handset packs pretty decent hardware. It comes running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI. The phone is of good value, if you don’t mind its brand.
The G510 sports a 4.5-inch large WVGA 854×480 touch display and a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video chat. You can find Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, and WiFi 802.11b/g/n as well as NFC for easy sharing of content and contacts. The mid-low-end Ascend is powered by a dual-core SnapDragon Cortex-A9 1.2GHz processor. It also includes DTS Surround Sound for enhanced audio quality.
