Pioneer launches its new flagship DJ player, the CDJ-2000nexus with built-in WiFi connectivity. As the first DJ player in the industry to have wireless capability, the player is able to use music sources from a computer or an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch via WiFi. Of course, you can also utilize music from a hard drives, USB flash drive, SD card or Audio CD/CD-R/RW/DVD+/-R/RW. The player supports MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF music format. It works with Pioneer’s rekordbox app for iOS devices, and rekordbox music management software for Mac and Windows.
Equipped with Wolfson DAC processor to deliver high sound quality, the CDJ-2000nexus features Slip Mode that silently continues song playback during a loop, reverse or scratch and continues audible playback at the exact time when the loop, reverse or scratch is ended, resulting in smoother transitions; Quantize to set cue points and loops on-beat; Active Loop that automatically starts loops when playback begins from a specified point. Using the Pro DJ Link feature, up to four CDJ-2000nexus players can be connected and share a single music source. When connected, you can CDJ-2000nexus’ new features and functions, including Beat Sync for matching tempo and beat location of music currently playing, Traffic Light that shows the keys of music being played by any players connected via Pro DJ Link; and Phase Meter, which shows the beat/bar of the music.
The CDJ-2000nexus has a large 6.1-inch 480×234 LCD panel for showing song information and Wave data of each song. It has one USB-A port, one USB-B port, a RCA and a Coaxial audio outputs, as well as LAN and 3.5mm Control port. Pioneer’s CDJ-2000nexus is priced at $2399.
