Transcend introduces the new SSD320 series 2.5-inch SATA III solid state drives. Powered by SandForce SF-2281 controller and using SATA III 6Gbps interface, the SSD320 is intended to deliver superior performance, featuring up to 560MB/s read and 530MB/s write speeds and maximum 4k random file writes of 87,000 IOPS.
The SSD320 comes in 2.5-inch form factor with 7mm thickness. Driven by SandForce controller, you can expect Intelligent Block Management and Wear Leveling, Intelligent Recycling for advance free space management (Garbage Collection) as well as TRIM command support, built-in ECC protection and S.M.A.R.T. support. Users can download Transcend’s SSD Scope soFtware to optimize performance of the SSD, and the System Clone utility allows you to copy files from old drive to SSD320 easily.
The Transcend SSD320 is available in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB capacities that are priced at $79, $129 and $229, respectively. A 3.5-inch mounting bracket is included for upgrading your desktop PC easily.
