Samsung is now shipping its SM843T Series solid state drives for use for in high performance enterprise servers and data centers. Available in capacities up to 960GB, Samsung’s new SSD meets the needs of server and could computing environments. The 2.5-inch drive uses SATA III 6Gbps interface.
The new SM843T series is able to deliver up to 500MB/s sequential read and 370MB/s sequential write speeds, and up to 98,000 (sustained) random read IOPS performance. It includes AES 256-bit encryption for data protection. Samsung also said that the SSD can protect the most recent data being processed from a sudden power interruption, for enhanced system reliability.
