Apple updates its MacBook Air with Intel’s newest Ivy Bridge processors. The 11-inch models come standard with Intel Core i5 1.7Ghz processor, and the 13-inch models get Core i5 1.8GHz processor, and they all can be configured with Core i7 2GHz CPU. The MacBook Air are equipped with 4GB of DDR3 RAM (max 8GB), SSD storage, and Intel HD 4000 graphics.
The Ivy Bridge MacBook Air have two USB 3.0 and one Thunderbolt (doubles as Mini DisplayPort) high-speed connectors, and MagSafe 2 power port. The 13-inch models also has a SD card slot. Other features include full-size backlit keyboard, a multitouch trackpad, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11n wireless connectivity, stereo speakers, omnidirectional microphone.
The 11-inch MacBook Air is available with 64GB or 128GB SSD starting at $999 and $1099, respectively; and the 13-inch model has 128GB or 256GB SSD for $1199 and $1499. They can be configured with up to 512GB flash storage.
