Patriot Memory launches the Wildfire SE and Wildfire Pro series of solid state drives as the follow-up to the Wildfire series. The two new Wildfire series share many of the features. Both of them are powered by SandForce’s 2281 controller and uses SATA III interface, and offers up to 560MB/s read and 530MB write speeds. They both include TRIM support, DuraClass and DuraWrite to extend the endurance, Intelligent Garbage Collection, built-in ECC protection and RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements).

While both of them are designed to deliver high performance, the Wildfire Pro is designed for professional applications and comes with 5 years of warranty. The Wildfire SE is more mainstream and gets 3 years warranty. The former comes in 100GB and 200GB capacities, while the SE has 120GB, 240GB and 480GB models. They will come with a 3.5-inch bracket for use only desktop PCs.
