Pioneer announced its new VSX-1021 7.1-channel home theater receiver that comes with support for Apple’s AirPlay for wireless music streaming. Thanks to AirPlay, once the receiver is connected to a home network via Ethernet or WiFi (adapter needed), it can stream music from iTunes on Mac or PC, giving music lovers complete access, control, and playback of their entire iTunes music library with incredible sound quality.
The Pioneer VSX-1021 is equipped with TI’s Aureus Digital Core DSP Engine and supports Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Pro-Logic IIz, DTS-HD Master Audio and Neural THX Surround. It includes PQLS Jitter Reduction and Auto Level Control as well as Digital Noise Reduction. The receiver also features the Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration system (MCACC) provides a near studio-quality, multi-channel listening experience customized specifically to your listening environment.
Pioneer’s 7.1-channel receiver is 3D-ready and has five HDMI 1.4a inputs. It comes with USB/video cable for connecting Apple’s iPad, iPhone and iPod for media playback and charging. Users may also want to get the optional Bluetooth wireless adapter for connecting Bluetooth-enabled device for wireless music streaming.
