Olympus expands its TOUGH line with the new TG-810 ultra-rugged “four-proof” digital camera. Designed to capture all of your extreme adventures, no matter where you go, the camera is shockproof, waterproof, freezeproof and crushproof. It can be submerged up to 33-feet under water, withstand a 6.6-foot drop, and operate when the temperature dips well below freezing (14 degrees Fahrenheit; -10 degrees Celsius). It has a airtight construction that is impervious to dust, dirt and other particles.
The 14 Megapixel TOUGH TG-810 sports a 5x optical zoom 28mm wide angle lens, Olympus’ TruePic III+ image processor, and a 3-inch, 920,000-dot, Super Precision HyperCrystal III LCD. It features in-camera Magic Art Filters, In-Camera Panorama function, mechanical Sensor-Shift and Digital dual image stabilization and Beauty Mode function and AF Tracking technology. Also, the TG-810 can record HD video and offers HDMI output.
The tough TG-810 is equipped with GPS, electronic compass and manometer for users to tag images with landmark information or capture altitude or depth of water in addition to location data and map coordinates.
Coming in April, the Olympus TOUGH TG-810 will be available in black and silver for $399.99.
