Asus releases its SDRW-08D1S ultra slim, stylish USB 8X external DVD SuperMulti burner that is a “perfect companion for your Eee PC or other netbooks“. The writer uses USB 2.0 interface and burns DVD+/-R at 8X, DVD+RW at 8X, DVD-R at 6X, DVD+/-R DL at 6X, DVD-RAM at 5x and CD-R/RW at up to 24x.
The slim Asus SDRW-08D1S-U has 2MB of buffer memory and includes Asus’ Turbo Engine to increase performance of connection between the USB and the drive. It supports both 12cm and 8cm discs. Cyberlink software is included. The SDRW-08D1S-U is available for $53.24 in black and white colors.
