Asus releases its N61JV-X2 and N71JV-X1 notebooks, from its N61 and N71 series, in the US market. The two new notebooks are equipped with NVIDIA Optimus technology that seamlessly switch between the dedicated GeForce GPU and Intel’s integrated graphics chip.
The N61JV-X2 and N71JV-X1 are equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GT325M graphics card with 1GB of RAM and integrated Intel HD graphics. The former sports an Inte Core i5-430M 2.26GHz while the 17-inch N71JV-X1 gets Core i3-350M processor. They both boast 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive and DVD SuperMulti burner.
The 16-inch screen of N61JV-X2 offers 1366×768 resolution while the N71JV-X1’s 17.3-inch display has 1600×900. Other features include WiFi, 2 Megapixel webcam, Altec Lansing speakers with SRS, 8-in-1 card reader, HDMI, eSATA port and USB 3.0 port.
Asus N61JV-X2 is now available for $899 and the Asus N71JV-X1 at newegg also for $899.99. Other Asus notebooks to have the Optimus Technology include the N82JV, UL50Vf and U30Jc.
