Toshiba updates its notebook and netbook range with the latest Windows 7 OS. The company’s Satellite and Qosmio laptops will be available with Windows 7 beginning October 22.
Notebooks to get the Windows 7 Home Premium include the 13.3-inch Satellite U500 series, the 14-inch Satellite M500 series, the entertainment-packed 16-inch Satellite A500 series, the gamer-oriented large 18.4-inch Satellite P500 series, the budget priced Satellite L500 series which is available with either a 14-, 15.6-, 16- and 17.3-inch diagonal display sizes as well as the newly announced Satellite T100.
The Qosmio X500 will also get Windows 7 and two new models will be introduced. The $1,449.99 Qosmio X505-Q830 with a 18.4-inch 1680×945 display, 320GB 7200RPM hard drive, 4GB RAM; and the 1,899.99 Qosmio X505-Q850 with 18.4-inch 1920x1080p Full HD display, 6GB of memory and a 320GB 7200RPM hard drive.
Toshiba is bringing the Windows 7 Starter to its mini NB205 netbook. The 10-inch netbook features full-sized keyboard, laptop-sized touchpad and nine-hour battery life and is available with either 160GB or 250GB hard drive. It starts at $399.99 and comes in Sable Brown, Frost White, Indigo Blue, Posh Pink and Onyx Black color finishes.
Also introduced are Toshiba’s Satellite M505 Touch and U505 Touch, both with Windows 7 and touchscreen display. Toshiba’s new Windows 7 notebooks will be available staring 22 October.
