Pioneer announced in Japan three new BD-Live-enabled Blu-ray players, BDP-LX52, BDP-320 and BDP-120. All these new players support BD-ROM(BDMV), BD-R/RE, BD-R/RE DL, DVD, as well as AVCHD and AVCREC (except BDP-120). They all deliver 1080p/24p output.
The Pioneer BDP-LX52 is a high-end Blu-ray player with Pioneer’s Precision Quartz Lock System (PQLS) on multiple channel. BDP-320 has similar features as the DBP-LX52 but it supports PQLS only at 2-channels. Both models supports 48 bit Deep Color and is able to play WMA9, MP3 and JPEG from CD-R/RW, DVD+/-R/RW DL.
The entry-level BDP-120 comes without PQLS and handles just 32 bit Deep Color. It plays only JPEG. All models have a LAN port and USB port. They will be released in late May, the Pioneer BDP-LX52 will be priced at 88,000 Yen.
