The new 0.85-inch HDD, Toshiba delivers gigabytes of capacity packed into a tiny hard drive that fits on your fingertip. As you can see in the picture, it is as small as a coin. In fact the postage stamp sized 0.85-inch HDD was named the smallest Hard Disk Drive in the 2005 Guinness Book of Records
Only a quarter the size of a 1.8-inch hard disk drive, Toshiba’s 0.85-inch HDD will bring storage to a new generation of products including mobile phones, tiny MP3 players, digital camera, and camcorders. There are 2GB(MK2001MTN) and 4GB(MK4001MTD) models. And in fact Toshiba is planning to increase the capacity To 10GB Using Perpendicular Magnetic Recording.
