Taiwan-based company Edimax has launched a 802.11ac WiFi router and USB adapter combo called AC1200 DUAL PACK. The pack included a wireless router and the world’s first USB 3.0 802.11ac WiFi adapter, both support 802.11ac wireless standard and 2.4Ghz/5GHz dual-band for high-speed wireless internet.
With support for 802.11ac, the AC1200 DUAL PACK offers up to 300Mbps speed at 2.4GHz and 867Mbps at 5GHz band. They are backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n for maximum compatibility. The router (model BR-6478AC) has one Gigabit LAN port, four Gigabit LAN ports and two 3dBi dual-band antennas.
The USB 3.0 802.11ac adapter (model EW-7822UAC) is the world’s fastest USB WiFi adapter. To achieve maximum speed, the adapter has to be plugged into a USB 3.0. It comes with integrated adjustable foldaway antenna for optimum WiFi performance.
