Along with the Lumia 720, Nokia also brings the entry-level Lumia 520 Windows Phone 8 smartphone to the MWC 2013. As the phone maker’s most affordable Windows Phone 8 handset, the 520 will be available at about Euro 139. The handset sports the same 1Ghz dual-core SnapDragon CPU and 512MB of RAM.
The Lumia 520 has a smaller 4-inch 800×480 Super Sensitive IPS touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and GPS/AGPS/GLONASS connectivity. You may need a little skill if you want to do video calls as the Windows Phone doesn’t include a front-camera. You can find 8GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for up to 64GB card.
Like other Lumia handsets, the 520 comes in multiple colors – yellow, blue, red, white and black. Nokia is planning to release the phone in Q1 in Hong Kong and Vietnam and in other markets in Q2. In the US market, it will be available via T-Mobile, and in China via China Mobile.
