ZTE is one of the top five mobile phone maker, and the Chinese company is trying to get a place in tablet market as well. The newly announced V81 is a 8-inch mid-range tablet running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. While most Android tablets get 16:9 touchscreen, the V81 has a 4:3 display with 1024×768 resolution, same as that of iPad mini. The device will be more affordable than Apple’s small tablet though.
The V81 is powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. It features a 2 Megapixel main camera and a 0.3 Megapixel front-facing camera. Other than Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi, the tablet also adds support for quad-band GSM and 3G HSDPA mobile network. It comes with 4GB internal storage and a microSD slot for extra storage. You can find audio jack, USB port and HDMI output.
The ZTE V81 packs a 3700 mAh battery. It measures 200x156x11.07 mm. We can probably see the device at the MWC next month.
