Fusion-io, the company that made PCI-Express ioDrive for large enterprises, introduces its new ioScale line of high-speed storage solution. “Previously exclusive to Fusion-io customers outfitting thousands of servers, ioScale is now available for hyperscale and cloud companies in minimum order quantities of only one hundred units.”
Using ultra-low latency ioMemory, the ioScale offers up to 3.2TB of capcity on a single half-lenght PCI-E slot. Like other Fusion-io offerings, the ioScale provides enterprise reliability with Self-Healing, Wear Management, and Predictive Monitoring capabilities of Fusion ioMemory. UEFI-enabled hyperscale servers can boot from the drive and businesses can use Fusion ioMemory software development kit (SDK) to leverage APIs like Atomic Writes and directFS that allows applications to run natively on flash.
The Fusion-io ioScaleis priced at $3.89 per GB.
