Though not a big player in networking devices market, Asus brings two new innovative HomePlug Powerline adapters, the PL-X51P and PL-X52P with 4 Gigabit LAN ports, the first in the market. With four LAN ports like conventional routers, you can connect multiple devices to the adapters. As you may already know, the Powerline adapters plug to electrical outlets at home and office and make use of existing power wires for home networking, meaning you can create a high-speed network without running cables throughout your home.
The PL-X51P and PL-X52P support up to 500Mbps data transfer rate and features an integrated noise filter to compensate for powerline fluctuations, ensuring consistent networking performance regardless of power grid conditions. One of the four Gigabit LAN ports are set as VIP port with top priority bandwidth. Their extra outlet design keeps the power socket free for powering other appliances. These compact Powerline adapters use 128-bit AES encryption to secure the network.
The PL-X51P has one adapter and the PL-X52P is a bundle with two adapters.
