If the Contour+2 is too expensive for you, take a look at Contour’s newest ContourROAM2 action camera that is designed to “make action video dead simple”. While the Contour+2 needs a waterproof case, the ROAM2 has a waterproof design that you can take it in water up to 1 meter without the need for a case. The lightweight camera has a low profile design and comes in red, blue, green and black colors.
Equipped with 5 Megapixel sensor, the ContourROAM2 can shoot in Full HD 1080/30p resolution or 720p at 60fps. It also does still image shooting in 9 differnet time intervals. The action cam has a 270° rotating lens with a 170-degree wide angle, built-in laser level for getting correct angle and a Locking Instant On-Record switch that makes sure users can get perfect shots. It has 4GB internal memory and supports microSD/SDHC up to 32GB.
At $199, half the price of Contour+2, don’t expect to find GPS, Bluetooth, HDMI on the ContourROAM2. Its battery offers 3.5 hours of video recording.
