UK company AQ Audio launches the SmartSpeaker Wireless + Portable speaker with support for Apple AirPlay and DLNA technologies. With a smart elegant design, the speaker packs two sound drivers to deliver 24-watt of power output and a high-powered amplifier. The SmartSpeaker connects to a home network with WiFi and with AirPlay, you can stream music from iOS devices, including iPhone 5 and new iPad, and computers running iTunes. With the latest SilverBirch firmware, the portable wireless speaker can even stream directly from iPhone/iPad without the need for a wireless home network.
Other than AirPlay, the SmartSpeaker also supports DLNA for streaming music from Android devices with AQ Play app, and from Windows PC using Play To in Windows Media Player. The speaker also provides line-in jack for direct connection with audio source. It offers 10 hours of play time in AirPlay mode and 20 hours in Holiday Mode (line-in connection).
AQ Audio’s SmartSpeaker is priced at $179, or you can get the Twin Pack for $349 and 4 Pack for $675.
