Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) launches the Panorama 2 soundbar speaker designed to boost audio performance of your TV viewing experience without taking too many spaces. The soundbar packs a total of 9 drive units, all newly engineered to deliver enhanced acoustic performance. Two bass woofers, two mid-range drivers and an aluminum dome tweeters with Nautilus tube-loaded technology are used in the active center speaker; and there are four 3-inch driver units for surround channels.
All the nine drive units of the Panorama 2 are powered by 6 class D amplifiers, providing a combined power output of 175-watt. It also includes Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to improve sound quality. The soundbar supports Dolby Digital, Dolby PLII, DTS audio codecs and has three HDMI inputs, one HDMI output and a 3.5mm jack. It gets a new proximity-sensing control panel and an On Screen Display (OSD) that will light up when your hand gets close.
Bowers & Wilkins will release the Panorama 2 later this month for GBP1650.
