Bose introduces its first in-ear headphones specifically engineered for exercise, the SIE2 and SIE2i. As sport headphones, they feature sweat- and water-resistance and durability, and get a sport-inspired design that complements any athlete’s workout, from casual gym-goers to cross-trainers and avid runners. The SIE2 can be used woth most audio sources, while the SIE2i is intended for Apple’s iPhone and ipod, featuring an in-line remote and microphone for taking calls and music control.
The SIE2 and SIE2i feature the Bose TriPort acoustic technology to ensure full and balanced sound with depp and rich low notes and clear mid-high frequencies and vocals. Included with the headphones are Bose StayHear tips (in S/M/L sizes) that conform securely and comfortably to the ear’s shape. The headphones have acoustic ports positioned to resist sweat and water and are covered with a hydrophobic cloth to keep moisture out while letting sound pass through, and the SIE2i’s in-line remote/microphone has watertight button housings and a hydrophobic acoustic windscreen to reduce the effects of wind noise and moisture.
The Bose SIE2 is available in green for $119.95, and the SIE2i comes in green and orange for $149.95. Bose also partnered with Reebook to develop a fitness armband that holds a mobile phone or digital music player securely in place during exercise.
