French company Lexibook is launching its Android-based education tablet for kids in the US market. Intended for education, the Lexibook tablet comes pre-loaded with School Zone apps, 200 e-books, 25 games and 52 discovery activities. Kids and parents can also download education apps and games from the Lexibook Market. There are also Lexibook Videostore by Kabillion and Spotify for access to cartoons, music, and other multimedia content.
The Lexibook Tablet is powered by a 600MHz processor with 256MB RAM and runs Android 2.2 operating system. It features a 7-inch 800×480 touchscreen, WiFi connectivity, built-in mono speaker, and 4000mAh battery. You can find 4GB internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion.
The Lexibook Tablet will be released on 15 September but pricing has not been announced. The device is selling in Europe market for Euro 149.99.
