Kingston introduces its new SSDNow E100 series of enterprise-class solid state drives. According to the company, the new E100 offers up to 10x improvement in endurance and reliability over client SSDs on existing hardware, and is ideal for mission-critical environments such as datacentres, which need to be up and running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The 2.5-inch E100 is powered by SandForce SF-2500 enterprise-class processor, featuring DuraWrite for maximum read/write performance and endurance, RAISE for advanced error correction, and Data Integrity Protection with DuraClass Technology. The drive uses SATA III interface and delivers up to 535MB/s read and 500MB/s write speeds, and up to 55,000/83,000 IOPS maximum random 4k read/write poerformance. Intended for enterprise application, Kingston’s new SSD also includes Enterprise SMART Tools for Reliability Tracking, Usage Statistics, Life Remaining, Wear Leveling, Temperature, Drive Life Protection. It supports TRIM command as well.
The Kingston SSDNow E100 is available in 100GB, 200GB and 400GB capacities.
