Fujitsu introduces a new compact, mobile scanner, the ScanSnap S1300i with Scan-to-Mobile and Scan-to-Cloud capability. iPhone/iPad and Android users can use the ScanSnap Connect application to receive scanned documents at the touch of a button. The scanner can also deliver scans directly to cloud services such as Dropbox, Evernote, Google Docs, Salesforce and SugarSync. Of course, it can also scan to Word, Excel and Email.
The ScanSnap S1300i has a scanning speed of 12 pages per minute (A4, color, 150 dpi) or 24 images in duplex mode. It includes Intelligent Indexing to convert highlighted words in a document into PDF keywords for faster, easier search, and Intelligent Cropping and Rotation that automatically align and crop documents even if they are inserted skewed, upside down or if they are odd-size. The scanner has 600dpi optical resolution and use USB 2.0 interface.
Fujitsu’s ScanSnap S1300i will come with ScanSnap Organizer, CardMinder 4.1 for Windows and Cardiris 4.0 for ScanSnap for Mac. There is also Deluxe model that adds Rack2-Filer 5 software for Windows. The S1300i is price at $348 and the Deluxe version costs $410.
