Acer launches in the US the Iconia Tab A700 tablet running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. One of the most notable features of this 10.1-inch tablet is its Full HD 1920×1200 touchscreen display, offering shapers images and greater details. Ideal for entertainment, the A700 is also enhanced with Dolby Mobile 3 with 5.1-channel home theater surround sound capabilities. There is HDMI output so you can enjoy HD video content on a bigger screen.
Acer’s new Iconia Tab is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Super 4-PLUS-1 Quad Core processor with a fifth Battery Saver Core and 12-Core GeForce NVIDIA GPU. It has 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The tablet sports a 5 Megapixel main camera with auto focus with HD video recording, and a 1 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. It supports Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and WiFi connectivity, and has a microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB cards.
Running on Android 4.0, the A700 comes pre-loaded with Acer Ring user interface, and Polaris Office 3.5 for you to read and edit documents on the go. The built-in battery allows for up to 10.5 hours of video playback. It comes in black (A700-10k32u) and silver (A700-10s32u) and is priced at $449.99.
