Along with the U845W with 21:9 ultrawide display, Toshiba also brings the more affordable Satellite U845 (aka U840 in Europe) Ultrabook for everyday productivity and entertainment. Constructed of durable aluminum in Ice Blue, the Ultrabook is slim at 0.79-inch and starts at 3.5lbs. While widescreen sibling gets 21:9 display, the U845 has a 14-inch HD TruBrite display with 1366 x768 resolution.
Toshiba’s U845 is boosted by Intel’s Ivy Bridge 3rd gen Core processor with up to 6GB RAM. It comes with 500GB hard drive with 16GB or 32GB SSD for caching. The laptop comes with stereo speakers with SRS Premium Sound 3D sound enhancement, a HD webcam, a memory card slot and HDMI port. There are one USB 3.0 port with USB Sleep and Charge and two USB 2.0 ports. The U845 supports WiFi.
Compare to the U845W, the Satellite U845 is more affordable starting at $729.99. It willl be available on 24 June.
