RunCore introduces the Rocket Air SSD, its latest consumer-grade SSD for Ultrabooks and Macbook Air as well as other super slim notebooks. The blade-style Rocket Air has a ultra slim form factor that looks more like a RAM. It is based on Tier 1 Toggle Synchronous NAND MLC flash with SandForce controller and uses SATA III 6Gbps interface for faster transfer rate.
The Rocket Air comes in 120GB and 240GB capacities and offers over 500MB/s read and over 300MB/s write speeds. It supports 128-bit AES data encryption and Wear Leveling for enhanced endurance as well as TRIM command. RunCore’s offering is compatible with mid-2011 MacBook Air and offers nearly 4x the capacity of the original factory SSDs.
