Asus introduces a new stylish 3D Blu-ray writer, the SBW-06C2X-U with award winning minimal design with elegant squared lines. The slim burner supports BDXL format, including 100GB BD-R TL and 128GB BD-R QL, and plays 3D Blu-ray and ordinary Blu-ray discs. Of course, it also plays DVD and features 2D to 3D DVD conversion, DVD upscaling to HD 1080p. It even supports 5.1-channel Dolby EX and DTS-HD audio.
As a Blu-ray writer, the SBW-06C2X-U burns BD-R/R and BD-R DL at 6x, BD-R (TL/QL) at 4x and BD-RE (DL/TL) at 2x. It also writes DVD+/-R/RW at up to 8X and CD-R/RW at 24x. The external burner uses USB 2.0 interface and comes with 2MB of data buffer. It is Mac friendly and comes with Cyberlink Power2Go 7 software.
The sleek SBW-06C2X-U can be used horizontally or vertically with the included metal stand.
