Kingmax launches in Japan the 1TB model of its SMU25 Client Pro series of solid state drive and the price is just 119,800 Yen, which is about $1500 USD. The 2.5-inch drive uses SATA II interface and delivers up to 250MB/s read and 200MB/s write speeds. It features wear-leveling algorithm for enhanced life time and performance, and supports Error Correction Code (ECC) and TRIM command.
The SMU25 is also available in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB and 512GB models. It comes with a 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch desktop bracket kit.
