Sony adds three new entry-level Cyber-shot point-and-shoot digital cameras – the DSC-W610, DSC-W620 and DSC-W650. All of them feature Sony’s 360 Sweep Panorama mode for users to capture seamless 360-degree panoramic images with one easy “press and sweep” motion. Their Intelligent Auto mode automatically optimizes camera settings based on outside shooting environment.
The top-of-the-line W650 sports a 16.1 Megapixel Super HAD CCD image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens with 25mm wide angle and a 3-inch LCD display. The W620 and W610 both come with 14.1 Megapixel Super HAD CCD sensor, with the former gets a 5x optical zoom and the latter packs a 4x optical zoom lens. Both of them have a 2.7-inch LCD screen. While the W650 features the enhanced Optical SteadyShot for blur-free images, the other two models get SteadyShot image stabilization.
The Cyber-shot W650 and the W620 includes four Picture Effects – Toy Camera, Partial Color, Pop Color and Soft High-key – that allow for creative custom styled photographys, and support 720p HD video recording. Other features include Face Detection, Smile Shutter, Dynamic Range Optimizer that helps recover shadows and highlights, Intelligent Scene Recognition mode, Self-Portrait Timer, Soft Skin mode, and the W650 adds Anti-blink and Natural Flash.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W610 will be available in silver, black, pink, green and blue for $109.99. The Cyber-shot DSC-W620 and Cyber-shot W650 will both come in silver, black and red for $119.99 and $139.99 respectively.
