Kingston announced its new SSDNow V+200 solid state drives, which are “ideal high-performance upgrade solution for the performance minded yet cost-conscious business or home user”. The latest SSDNow series uses SATA 3.0 6Gbps interface and utilizes SandForce SF-2281 processor for enhanced performance with up to 535MB/s sequential read and 480MB/s sequential write speeds.
The 2.5-inch SSDNow V+200 features DuraWrite to optimize writes to extend endurance; DuraClass for Data Integrity Protection, RAISE (Redundant Array of Independent Silicon Elements) for advanced data reliability; as well as self-encrypting drive technology, S.M.A.R.T. and TRIM command. The V+200 is available in 60GB, 90GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB storage capacities.
Kingston’s SSDNow V+200 is available as either a stand-alone drive or as an upgrade kit. The latter include cables, brackets, hard drive enclosure and cloning software.
