Toshiba announced in Japan its new TransMemory-EX USB 3.0 flash drives, including the 32GB UX-A032GT and 64GB UX-A064GT. According to Toshiba, the drives have the lowest power consumption in the industry thanks to the low power ASIC controller and dedicated high speed NAND flash memory. They offer up to 220MB/s read and 94MB/s write speeds via USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface, and still provides 34MB/s read and 30MB/s write performance using USB 2.0.
The Toshiba TransMemory-EX supports Windows ReadyBoost. It measures 68.8 (L) x 21 (W) x 10.5 (H) mm and weighs just 14g.
