Toshiba updates its Canvio line with the new Canvio 3.0 portable hard drive using USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface. The new drive comes in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities and is pre-loaded with NTI BackupNow EZ software that provides step-by-step and fully-customizable backup capabilities to the cloud and to the drive. Toshiba also announced the Canvio Basics 3.0 that comes in black satin finish.
The compact Canvio 3.0 uses USB 3.0 interface for faster data transfer and is backward compatible with USB 2.0. It offers complete password protection with up to 256-bit data encryption to prevent unauthorized access to data. The Canvio 3.0 is equipped with Shock Sensor and Ramp Loading Technology protect the drive during daily movement from a pocket, desk, bag, or beyond. The drive has rounded rectangular form factor and sleek high gloss finish and is available in black, white, silver, red, green, and blue colors.
