Toshiba announced its first Full HD mini camcorder, the Camileo CLIP that measures just 46.5mm x 80mm. It features a robust clip at its rear side to attach the camcorder to the user’s jacket, is targeted at users who want to capture thrilling moments during outdoor activities without the need to hold the device in their hands. The camcorder has a ruggedized and splash-proof casing, making it ideal for all outdoor activities.
The Camileo CLIP features a 5 Megapixel CMOS sensor back side illumination technology (BSI) and a 1.5-inch LCD display. It can record Full HD 1920×1080 video at 30fps in H.264 HD video format, and up to 16 Megapixel still images. The CLIP offers also 10x digital zoom and electronic image stabiliser (EIS). As a HD camcorder, this compact Camileo includes mini HDMI output for showing your video on a bigger screen. It uses SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.
Toshiba will release the Camileo CLIP in Q4 2011.
