Active Media Products introduces its new SaberTooth M1 series mSATA solid state drives. Measuring just 50mm in length, the M1 uses the mini SATA II 3Gbps interface. It is based on MLC NAND flash and utilizes the Jmicron JMF605 4-channel controller. It is fully compliant with JEDEC MO-300B mSATA specifications.
The new SaberTooth M1 is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities. It offers up to 160MB/s read and 80MB/s write speeds. The drive includes ECC Error Correction for server-class reliability and wear leveling algorithm that ensures a long usable lifetime as well as bad bit management maps that out bad bits to prevent errors.
