Other World Computing (OWC) announced its new Mercury EXTREME Pro 6G series solid state drives that offer ultra high data transfer speed. Driven by SandForce SSD controller and based on Synchronous Tier 1/Grade A 2X-nm NAND Flash, OWC’s new SSD offers up to 559MB/s read and up to 515MB/s write speeds and random 4K file read/writes up to 60,000 IOPS, when SATA 6Gb/s interface is being utilized.
The Mercury EXTREME also uses advanced DuraWrite wear-leveling and block management technologies to keep Read/Write performance at peak. It includes chip-based 256-bit and 128-bit AES data encryption as well.
OWC Mercury EXTREME Pro 6G is available in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB that cost $319.99, $579.99 and $1799.99, respectively.
