Acer announced the launch of its ICONIA 6120 dual-screen “Touchbook” tablet in the North America. The ICONIA 6120 features two 14-inch LED-backlit touchscreen displays with Gorilla Glass. The tablet is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of memory and Intel HD graphics. There is a 600GB hard drive.
Running Windows 7 and to utilize the two touchscreens, Acer introduces the Acer Ring Control Interface that offers simple and intuitive touch control. By placing five fingers in a circular pattern on the bottom display, the Acer Ring appears, providing instant access to favorite applications and features. The Ring includes some unique features such as AppCards, a set of Iconia touch-based applications; Virtual Keyboard and Gesture Editor. The dual-screen ICONIA Touchbook supports WiFi and sports a 1.3 Megapixel HD webcam, HDMI output, USB 3.0 interface, Dolby Advanced Audio v3 as well as the Acer clear.fi digital media sharing solution.
