Along with the 7-inch Tab A100, Acer will release another Android 3.0 tablet, the ICONIA Tab A500 with 10.1-inch multitouch capacitive touchscreen. Set to compete with Motorola’s XOOM, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 and LG’s Optimus Pad V900, the 10.1-inch A500 is powered by dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor for faster browsing, and optimized HD viewing and will be shipped with Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS.
The ICONIA Tab A500 has an aluminum casing. It supports Bluetooth, 3G and WiFi and offers HDMI output. There are a 5 Megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera for video calling. It also comes with Acer clear.fi media sharing system for enhanced home entertainment experience. According to SlashGear, the ICONIA Tab A500 will be available in Europe on 8 April for GBP449.
