Toshiba Europe announced two new USB 3.0 external hard drives, the STOR.E STEEL S and the STOR.E ALU 2S, both feature the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed high-speed interface. Based on 2.5-inch hard disk, new STOR.E portable drives offer up to 1TB capacity. The STOR.E ALU 2S will also be available with 3.5-inch hard drive with up to 2TB capacity.
Toshiba’s new STOR.E STEEL S and STOR.E ALU 2S use USB 3.0 interface for up to 5Gb/s data transfer rate, which is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 interface. The STOR.E ALU 2S will be available in black and silver-colored brushed aluminum while the STOR.E STEEL S is made of steel and comes in three colour variations: silver, black and titanium.
