Thermaltake has introduced the Max 5G, an active cooling 3.5-inch external hard drive enclosure with dual silent 80mm fans with blue LEDs to cool hard drives for better durability and performance. The Max 5G uses USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface for faster data transfer and is backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1. It supports all 3.5-inch SATA I/II/III hard drives up to 2TB.
The Thermaltake Max 5G comes with a shielded USB 3.0 cable to ensure maximum transfer speed with minimum distortion. It measures 80 x 80 x 15mm and weighs 405g.
