Asus details its upcoming Eee Note EA800 e-book reader/digital notepad, which is previously called Eee Tablet. The Eee Note combines a digital notepad with a e-book reader, getting an “ultra sensitive” touchscreen that’s readable even in broad daylight. The device use Wacom’s touch technology.
The Asus EA800 comes with a 8-inch 768×1024 glass screen with a matte finish for smooth writing and sketching using the supplied stylus. It has 4GB internal memory that is enough for up to 10,000 ebooks or 20,000 handwritten notes, and there is a microSD expansion slot. The Eee Note includes built-in WiFi 802.11b/g connectivity and EverNote support. It offers native support for PDF, ePub, MP3, JPEG, BMP, GIF and PNG files as well as txt, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx documents.
Asus Eee Note EA800 has micro USB for PC connection and 3.5mm headphone jack. It packs a 3700mAh battery for up to 13.5 hours of continuously reading and writing.
