OCZ High-Speed Data Link Interface for SSD

OCZ Technology announced its new proprietary interface called High-Speed Data Link (HSDL), which is to accelerate the progression of solid-state storage. According to the company, the new HSDL interface is capable of running up to 20Gbps of data bandwidth per channel, outperform Serial ATA (SATA) and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) which only offer 3Gbps/6Gbps data rates. The HSDL is an open standard.

As part of the new HSDL initiative, OCZ is going to launch the new OCZ IBIS seris 3.5-inch SSD that will utilizes the HSDL interface.
