Viking Modular Solutions introduces the SATADIMM, an enterprise-class solid state drive in an industry-standard JEDEC 240-pin DDR3 DIMM form factor (JEDEC MO-269). Designed to use with DDR3 DIMM slots, the SATADIMM gets power needed from the slot, eliminating the need for a power cable.
Viking’s SATADIMM is based on MLC NAND flash and features SSD-specific SMART command, built-in AES-128 encryption for secure data protection and intelligent write management techniques for optimized endurance. Setup is easy, simply insert SATADIMM into any available DIMM socket, connect a SATA data cable and begin enjoying performance of SATA SSD.
