Asus releases its new RS704DA-E6/PS4 and RS500A-E6/PS4 1U servers based on the dual-socket AMD G34 platform and with VMWare certification. The former supports dual node high volume computing. The RS704DA-E6/PS4 duo-node server is designed with a dual DP system in a 1U chassis, with 16 DIMM slots and up to 256GB memory per node. It also features a QFSP port at the rear panel to deliver high speed interconnectivity (40Gbps) from a built-in Infiniband QDR chipset.
The RS500A-E6/PS4 uses latest AMD Opteron 6100 series processor and offers up to a 25.6GB/s bandwidth using triple HT3 links between CPUs. Both models are equipped with 80+ (gold) power supply modules. They support SATA or SAS hard drives.
