Asus adds to its Xonar line the new Xonar DG sound card for gaming and multimedia. The new Xonar DG features support for Dolby Headphone 5.1-channel high definition surround sound technology, the DirectSound3D Game Extensions 2.5 (DS3D GX 2.5) audio engine and onboard headset amplifier.
The Xonar DG uses PCI 2.2 interface and offers an automatic jack-sensing front panel output that will switch audio output between the front and back panels automatically. The sound card is equipped with Cirrus Logic CS4245 24-bit D-A Converter of digital sources and analog inputs, and a C-Media CMI8786 sound processor. It offers three 3.5mm analog output jack, one analog input jack and one Digital S/PDIF output.
