Canon launches the new PowerShot SD4500 IS (aka IXUS 1000 HS in Europe and IXY 50S in Japan) compact digital camera. The new digicam features a 10 Megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor and 10x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilization, which is a huge step forward from 3.8x of its predecessor, SD4000 IS. The SD4500 IS is said to be the thinnest 10x optical zoom digital camera. It is also the first Digital ELPH camera to support Full HD 1080p video recording.
The new PowerShot SD4500 IS features Dynamic IS, Super Slow Motion Video Mode that capable of capturing a subject at 240fps Smart AUTO mode, 8.4fps High-Speed Burst shooting, Face Detection, Blink Detection, Handheld Night Scene mode, Motion Detection and ISO up to 3200. It is equipped with DIGIC4 image processor.
Canon’s SD4500 IS comes with a 3-inch LCD display and HDMI output. It supports SD/SDHC/SDXC, MMC memory cards. The camera will be released in early September and is available for $349.99.
