Armor introduces a new rugged tablet PC, the X10gx that “represents a giant leap in communications capabilities in a fully rugged package”. The new tablet PC is MIL-STD-810G and IP67 certified for ruggedness, making it able to withstand harsh environments.
The Armor X10gx is boosted by Intel’s Core Duo SU9300 1.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM (max 4GB), 64GB/8GB/100GB SSD and integrated graphics. It features a 10.4-inch 1024×768 sunlight-readable LCD display with optional dual-mode touchscreen. As for connectivity, the X10gx includes Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11a/b/g, RF switching, optional Gobi mobile broadband and optional GPS.
The rugged tablet PC is fully compliant with MIL-STD-810G for shock, vibration, and temperature extremes. The ShutOut technology allows it to be rated IP67 for ingress protection, making it virtually impervious to moisture, dust, sand, pollen, mold and more.
